Arch Angel Falls in the Shadows

A rare site on the reverse hike to Zion's legendary Subway. Most hikers take the top-down route, trekking downriver in the afternoon in stark daytime and missing the morning glory when these falls bask in the shadows of the surrounding canyon.

Climbing up between two tremendous stones wedged into Orderville Canyon (the second one, unseen, is suspended 40 feet above the canyon floor, thus giving the name "the Guillotine").

We had a late start into the canyon, and it was about 5:30p by the time we got here. That water was frickin' cold!
