  8. Arch Angel Falls in the Shadows

A rare site on the reverse hike to Zion's legendary Subway. Most hikers take the top-down route, trekking downriver in the afternoon in stark daytime and missing the morning glory when these falls bask in the shadows of the surrounding canyon.

  10. Climbing the Guillotine

Climbing up between two tremendous stones wedged into Orderville Canyon (the second one, unseen, is suspended 40 feet above the canyon floor, thus giving the name "the Guillotine").

  11. The Moonbow of Yosemite Falls

  12. Bridalveil Falls

The last great winter in Yosemite - we headed out for a Moonbow attempt in May and actually encountered snow out at Tunnel View. Bridalveil Falls emerging from the mist was one of the most stunning sights to behold.

  13. Yosemite Falls

The iconic tree that stood in front of the Yosemite Falls view from Cook's Meadow for many years. Sadly, it's since toppled over in the winter of 2013.
